"Swicy" (sweet + spicy) isn't a niche anymore. In Q1 2026 alone, Dairy Queen launched a national Swicy Menu. McDonald's introduced five Hot Honey items. KFC, Taco Bell, and Freddy's all partnered with Mike's Hot Honey. Lay's trademarked the word "Swicy." Jack In The Box targeted Gen Z with Sweet Reaper Mozzarella Sticks. The flavor profile has gone from trend to table stakes.
